On this episode of FWG Chat (originally aired on February 19, 2019), we are joined by Crystal (@reducedfatmomma on Instagram) and she absolutely KILLED IT!!! Crystal shares her inspiring story on how she shed over 100 pounds in just over a year — all on her own!! Here are some of the top takeaways from our conversation:
- When starting your journey to health and weight loss, try to find your “why.”
- There will always be challenges — move past the excuses.
- Be grateful that you can ACTUALLY MOVE!! So many people struggle to do day-to-day activities, such as walking, feeding themselves, clothing themselves, etc. Don’t take those things for granted!
- Find another outlet for comfort or reward other than food. This is called “stimulus control”. Replace your negative stress response with a positive one. This could include exercise, meditation, journaling, art, etc.
- Whole, real foods are the key to ANY nutrition plan.
