FWG CHAT | EPISODE 14 | FOOD AS MEDICINE

My guest on this week’s FWG Chat (originally aired on April 2, 2019) is Dr. Micha Yu. Dr. Yu — one half of @drlifestyle101 (along with his wife, Dr. Melissa Mondala) on Instagram — dropped some SERIOUS knowledge on the power of food as medicine!! Dr. Yu shared his story about how he was diagnosed with autoimmune arthritis back in high school. In May 2018, he decided to give a whole-food, plant-based diet a shot. He credits this diet change for completely reversing his condition (which he had suffered for over 8 YEARS) and removing all of his symptoms within a matter of just THREE months! Dr. Yu also shares with us his pillars for transforming health. These pillars are:

  • Nutrition, especially fruits and vegetables
  • Exercise
  • Sleep
  • Manage stress

He also shared some resources that can help teach us more about lifestyle medicine and whole-food plant-based living!
