I’m a HUGE fan of Ketogenic Girl’s Fast Keto podcast, so it was an absolute honor to be a guest on her show! Here are some highlights of our discussion:
- I shared my own weight loss journey and how I used intermittent fasting to get to the lowest weight of my adult life.
- I went in-depth on my own personal fasting routine.
- We talked about the drawbacks of too much fasting. Fasting, like pretty much anything, can be harmful to the body if overdone.
- We also talked quite a bit about nutrition and what foods are best to eat during your eating window and when you should eat them.
- We talked briefly on how a fasting lifestyle affects the body, especially women during their menstrual periods.
- Also, I shared my top tips for incorporating intermittent fasting into your lives. These tips were:
- Be open-minded to something different than what you have done in the past.
- Pick something that is realistic for you to start with (don’t compare your fasting journey with anybody else).
- Don’t focus strictly on the scale — try to look at the non-scale victories.
