FASTING AND CARNIVORE

I was recently a guest on Vanessa Spina’s (aka ketogenicgirl) Instagram Live (originally aired on April 3, 2020)! During our discussion, Vanessa breaks down her transition from the ketogenic diet to carnivore diet (which is a form of ketogenic diet). She talks about some of her favorite foods she enjoys and how she uses organ meats, like liver, to get a lot of her nutrients.

We then answered viewer questions! Some of the questions that we answered include:

  • How should I break long term fast when on the carnivore diet?
  • A viewer who had recently begun a ketogenic diet had difficulties curbing appetite cravings. When will these cravings end?
  • A question was also asked about switching from the Paleolithic diet to the carnivore diet for weightloss purposes.
  • Vanessa was asked if she needs to use herbal supplements while on the carnivore diet?
  • A viewer who works in the healthcare field asked how they can educate healthcare workers on the S.A.D. diet (Standard American Diet).
  • How do you make keto/carnivore work after bariatric surgery?

A question was also ask about how can we clean our packaging that we get from the grocery store — This was more of a COVID-19 question, but felt it was important to answer.

*** NOTE: We experienced some technical difficulties during the conversation, so I apologize for the choppiness you may see at points during our conversation!
